A sure-fire formula for the mild etching of galvanized substrates, particularly corrugated G.I. roofs, plain G.I. sheets, G.I. pipes and G.I. structural steel, in order to provide sufficient grip, etching or mild roughness for excellent adhesion of paints. This product is not make-shift, such as the use of table vinegar. It is laboratory formulated and quality assured. It reacts with the zinc coating immediately upon application which will be manifested by the smooth shiny galvanized surface turning into a dull grayish-black color. It removes the oil with which galvanized sheets are usually stored. It then allows immediate application of paints upon drying, after installation of roof or pipe.
Light blue solution.
G.I. surface turns grayish-black upon completion of etching reaction.
